True Greatness

There was an uninvited guest at the meal. Yet, there he was in the upper room with Jesus and the disciples. You would think that he couldn’t even enter the room, but he did and he did what he does best: he took the words of Jesus and used them to get the disciples to begin focusing on themselves. The name of the unwanted guest is Division, a servant of Satan. Every community has them. Jesus was giving the bread of His body and the cup of His blood to His closest friends. Already His thoughts were turning ahead to the cross of His crucifixion. Jesus knew that an enemy had infiltrated His disciples. One of His closest companions, a man with a place at His holy table, will betray Him unto death.
