He Ascended Into Heaven

Life is filled with moments when someone we hold in high regard passes on a legacy of faith. Their going doesn’t mean abandonment—it means empowerment. In Luke 24, we don’t just witness the departure of Jesus; we see the culmination of His mission on earth and the continuation of His work in heaven. The ascension isn’t a footnote. It’s not a finish line—it’s a launch pad. When someone departs, what a joy it is to receive a keepsake from them, and to hear them say, "God bless you, my friend”—a blessing that places us under God's care. These are the same blessings Jesus gave to His disciples: a parting gift and a farewell benediction.
