The Verdict That Changed the World

Throughout history, few questions have carried as much weight as the one Pontius Pilate faced: What shall I do with Jesus? In the Gospel of Luke, we find the Roman governor trapped in a moral and political dilemma. Despite declaring Jesus innocent, Pilate struggled to stand firm against the pressure of the crowd and the demands of the religious leaders. His attempts to pass off responsibility—whether to the Jewish authorities or to Herod—only brought the issue back to him, unresolved and pressing. Pilate’s story is more than a historical account; it is a mirror held up to each of us. Just as he was forced to confront the identity and innocence of Jesus, so too must we decide: What will we do with Him?
