Leadership

I was born into a Pastor’s Home in Effingham, Illinios to Jim and Betty Jo Preston. I was born again on February 13th, 1983 at 8 years of age. My fifth grade year, my father answered the call to Pastor in Cortez, Colorado. While attending summer Camp at Silver State Baptist Youth Camp in Sedalia, Colorado, at age 11 I surrendered to preach. Immediately following my graduation from High School in Cortez, CO, I attended Baptist Bible College in Springfield, MO, where I completed most of my undergraduate studies. While At BBC, I met my wife Lisa, and we were married in the Summer of 1995. I later received my diploma from Heartland Baptist Bible College in OKC, OK. Shortly after Bible College, I went on Staff at Liberty Baptist Church in Lewisville,  TX where I served on staff for eight years. In December of 2006, I answered the call to Pastor in Windsor, CO. After serving there for 9 years, in September of 2015, the Lord called us to Bethany Baptist Church.  God has blessed us with 4 children, Karisa, Kaylee, Keith and Gabe.

My parents were saved when I was very young and I’ve had the privilege of being raised in a Christian home.  At the age of 17, a year after great tragedy struck my family, I whole-heartedly believed in Jesus Christ and repented of my sin.  My life immediately began to change and God placed in me a strong desire for His word and His work.  I surrendered to go to Heartland Baptist Bible College for one year.  Before leaving for Bible College, God called me into the ministry and in August of 2003 I began my four year study.  I met my beautiful wife Stephanie the following year and we were married December of our senior year.  My wife and I graduated together in 2007 and began searching for where God would send us.  The Lord led us to Hardwick Bible Baptist Church in Hardwick, VT where I became the youth pastor and served for 5 years.  God has given us 7 children, Trenton, Taylor, Samuel, Aubrey, Austin, Weston and Charlotte for which we are so grateful.  In August of 2013 God moved us to Lubbock and now I have the great honor of serving at Bethany Baptist Church.
