Move Forward in Faith

Have you been backing down? Maybe you’ve even thought about it. Israel once stood on a battlefield where the odds were so overwhelming that surrender seemed like the only reasonable option—3,000 soldiers facing an army with 30,000 chariots, 6,000 horsemen, and foot soldiers beyond number. Humanly speaking, it was impossible. And tonight, we face our own battles that feel just as lopsided. On our own, we don’t have the strength to defeat the enemy, to lead our homes, to live faithfully, or to stand firm as the Christians God has called us to be. But the good news is this: we are not fighting alone. As Psalm 139 reminds us, there is nowhere we can go without God’s presence, and there are no results—no victory—without Him.
