As we enter the new year, it’s easy to reflect on the passage of time. We start with big plans, but before we know it, the year has slipped away. This fleeting nature of time reminds us of Job, a man who faced unimaginable loss and suffering yet held onto his faith. In our text we see that Job expresses the feeling of being at the end of his rope, something many of us can relate to in our own trials. As we move into this year, let’s consider how we can better focus on what truly matters, and place our hope in the One who holds our future.
