Reaching the World One Person at a Time

In Chapter 7 of Acts, the death of Stephen initially seems like a tragic and pointless loss, particularly considering his powerful ministry and deep knowledge of the Old Testament. However, this event set into motion a series of actions that, while appearing negative at first, ultimately led to the spread of the gospel beyond Jerusalem. One key figure in this expansion was Philip, a deacon who, after being scattered by persecution, preached the word in Samaria. While a revival was taking place there, God called Philip away to a desert road to meet one individual, an Ethiopian man, illustrating how the gospel’s reach transcends geographical and cultural boundaries.
